Every Lamp Boy product is thoughtfully designed, tested with care, and backed by a 12-month limited warranty. We want you to enjoy your lamp safely, so please use it as intended. We can’t take responsibility for any damage, injury or loss caused by incorrect use, installation or modifications.

Here are some simple tips to help keep things safe and running smoothly:

  • Indoor use only – Our lamps are made for indoor use unless otherwise stated. Battery-powered portable lamps can be used outdoors briefly in clear, dry conditions under supervision – just don’t leave them out or near water.
  • Always use the included bulbs and plugs that match the recommended specs.
  • Do not exceed the maximum bulb wattage listed for your lamp.
  • Using your own bulbs? That’s okay – but it’s at your own risk. We can’t guarantee safety or performance with third-party or non-recommended bulbs.
  • For battery-powered lamps – Each lamp includes a built-in rechargeable battery and its own charging cable. Use the included cable with a USB power source rated at 5W or less. Avoid fast chargers, portable chargers (power banks) or high-wattage adapters. Charge on a flat, non-flammable surface, away from soft furnishings. Never leave the lamp charging unattended – especially overnight.
  • Battery safety – Keep lamps away from heat, fire, and water. Don’t use the lamp if it’s damaged, swollen or leaking. If fluid touches your skin or eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
  • First time using it? Give it a full charge with the supplied cable before switching it on.
  • Only charge in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space. Avoid drawers, bedding or direct sunlight.
  • Don’t use while charging unless the instructions say it’s okay.
  • Never leave lamps switched on and unattended.
  • Keep away from flammable materials like curtains or bedding.
  • Make sure your lamp has space to breathe – don’t cover it with fabric or block ventilation.
  • Keep away from water sources like sinks, showers or bathtubs unless it’s rated for that use.
  • Keep lamps and cords safely out of reach of children and pets.
  • No DIY repairs, please – Opening or modifying your lamp may void the warranty and pose a safety risk.
  • Place on flat, stable surfaces to avoid tipping or falling.
  • Keep away from heat sources like heaters, stovetops or direct sunlight for long periods.
  • Our lamps are for ambiance – not emergency or primary lighting. Always keep smoke alarms active and follow basic home safety practices.
  • If you're unsure about setup or safety, chat with a qualified electrician.

By completing your purchase, you agree that Lamp Boy is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages that may result from improper use of our products – including fire, electric shock or injury.
